Scope of application for rooting solution
Rooting agents are used across a wide range of plants-including agricultural crops (vegetables, fruit trees, and field crops), landscape plants, turf, and flowers-to support root health and stimulate root development. For instance, after transplanting vegetables, specific rooting products can be selected based on soil conditions (such as the presence of soil-borne diseases or nematodes) or the state of root growth (such as stress from environmental factors, sparse root systems, or slow growth).
These products contain a variety of active ingredients, primarily microbial agents (e.g., *Bacillus* species), amino acids, alginic acid, humic acid, chitin, and nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (NPK). Some products may also incorporate plant growth regulators such as naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) or indole-3-butyric acid (IBA).
Proper application is essential: the type of rooting agent should be chosen based on soil conditions and specific root growth requirements. It is recommended to apply the same product at least three times consecutively, as frequently switching products may compromise effectiveness. Strict adherence to recommended dosage rates is crucial; excessive application-particularly of products containing plant growth regulators-must be avoided, as it can lead to toxicity caused by the accumulation of root hormones.
