Characteristics and Rooting Speed of Different Types of Rooting Agents
Indole-3-butyric Acid (IBA) Rooting Agent
IBA rooting agent is a highly effective root promoter that delivers powerful results, significantly boosting plant survival rates. It is particularly well-suited for large plants such as fruit trees and timber trees. Soaking seedling roots in IBA solution for 20 minutes before planting accelerates root development and helps the plant adapt more quickly to its new environment.
Naphthaleneacetic Acid (NAA) Rooting Agent
NAA rooting agent is ideal for trees that are difficult to establish, especially in arid regions. Known as a "drought-resistance champion," it is highly effective at helping plants cope with water stress. While its application method is similar to that of IBA, NAA offers greater stability in the soil, providing sustained support for root growth.
Compound Organic Rooting Agent
Compound organic rooting agents not only stimulate root growth but also help retain soil moisture. They are particularly suitable for landscaping and ecological trees that are relatively easy to transplant. Formulated with plant growth regulators, they perform well in challenging conditions, such as dry or sandy soils. However, their effects are relatively short-lived, making them better suited for smaller trees or shallow-rooted plants.
